In a significant legal development, a former employee has filed a class action lawsuit against her previous employer, alleging multiple violations of California labor laws. The complaint was filed by Cecilia Ferrusquia on October 29, 2025, in the Superior Court of California, County of Sacramento, against Travel Tech Mohs Services, Inc. (TTMS) and other unnamed defendants.

Cecilia Ferrusquia, representing herself and others similarly situated, accuses TTMS of failing to comply with several provisions of the California Labor Code. The allegations include failure to pay overtime wages as per Labor Code §§ 200-204 and related sections; failure to compensate for all hours worked; not providing meal and rest periods as required by law; and not furnishing compliant wage statements. Ferrusquia claims that during her employment as a non-exempt hourly worker, she routinely worked more than eight hours a day and forty hours a week without receiving proper overtime compensation. Furthermore, she alleges that TTMS did not provide legally mandated meal breaks or rest periods due to business demands taking precedence over employee rights.

The complaint also highlights TTMS’s alleged failure to reimburse employees for necessary business expenses such as the use of personal phones and home utilities for work purposes. Additionally, Ferrusquia accuses the company of unfair business practices under California Business & Professions Code § 17200 et seq., arguing that these violations gave TTMS an unfair competitive advantage over law-abiding companies.

Ferrusquia seeks various forms of relief from the court including certification of the lawsuit as a class action, compensatory damages for unpaid wages and missed breaks, restitution for unlawful business practices, statutory penalties for labor code violations, reimbursement for incurred business expenses, injunctive relief to prevent further violations by TTMS, and attorney fees. She emphasizes that these claims are not only for herself but also on behalf of all similarly affected employees who have worked under similar conditions at TTMS within the last four years.

Representing Ferrusquia in this case are attorneys Mark L. Venardi (SBN 173140), Martin Zurada (SBN 218235), and Cody Stroman (SBN 303413) from Venardi Zurada LLP based in Walnut Creek, California. The case is presided over by judges at the Superior Court of California in Sacramento under Case No.: [Case ID].
