A class action lawsuit has been filed against a security services company, accusing it of numerous labor violations under California law. The complaint was lodged by Grace Morfin on October 14, 2025, in the Superior Court of the State of California for the County of Santa Clara against Chenega Global Protection, LLC.
The lawsuit alleges that Chenega Global Protection failed to comply with several provisions of the California Labor Code. According to the complaint, the company systematically denied employees minimum and overtime wages, failed to provide mandatory meal and rest breaks, and did not reimburse necessary business expenses. The plaintiff claims these practices were part of a broader pattern of unfair business practices by the defendant. Grace Morfin asserts that during her employment from June 2024 to July 2025, she experienced these violations firsthand. She recounts instances where she was required to work off-the-clock without compensation and was not provided with uninterrupted meal or rest periods as mandated by law. Furthermore, Morfin alleges that employees were forced to cover work-related expenses out-of-pocket without reimbursement, including costs associated with personal phone use and specific work attire.
The plaintiff is seeking various forms of relief from the court. These include unpaid wages for all hours worked at minimum wage rates, overtime pay for hours exceeding eight per day or forty per week, compensation for missed meal and rest breaks, reimbursement for business expenses incurred during employment, statutory penalties for late payment of wages upon termination, and damages for inaccurate wage statements. Additionally, Morfin seeks injunctive relief to prevent future violations and demands restitution under California’s Unfair Competition Law.
Representing Grace Morfin are attorneys Kane Moon, Allen Feghali, and Chancellor D. Nobles from Moon Law Group PC based in Los Angeles. The case has been assigned Case No.: 25CV477592 in front of Judge M. Bui.
