Boris and Alexandra Krasniansky have filed a lawsuit against several healthcare providers, alleging medical negligence that resulted in severe harm. The complaint was filed by Wilcoxen Callaham, LLP on September 19, 2025, in the Superior Court of California, County of Sacramento. The defendants named in the case include Sutter Health, El Camino Health Mountain View Hospital, El Camino Healthcare District, and doctors Pei Tsau, Ganesh Krishna, and Naveen Kakumanu.

The case centers around a botched lung surgery performed on Boris Krasniansky on June 25, 2024. According to the complaint, Dr. Pei Tsau conducted a lobectomy based on incorrect tumor markings provided by Dr. Ganesh Krishna at El Camino Health Mountain View Hospital. The error led to the removal of healthy lung tissue while leaving the actual tumor untreated. This oversight has allegedly caused Boris Krasniansky significant physical and emotional distress as well as permanent damage to his respiratory function.

In addition to the surgical errors, the complaint accuses Dr. Naveen Kakumanu of prescribing hydrocortisone despite persistently elevated ACTH and cortisol levels in Boris Krasniansky. This medication reportedly exacerbated his condition during a period when his usual endocrinologist was on maternity leave.

The plaintiffs argue that these actions fall below the standard of care expected from qualified medical professionals and have directly contributed to their suffering. As a result of these alleged acts of negligence, Boris Krasniansky claims he has been unable to pursue his normal daily activities or occupation due to ongoing health issues.

Alexandra Krasniansky is also seeking damages for loss of consortium due to her husband’s injuries and their impact on their marital relationship. The couple is asking for general damages exceeding $35,000 along with compensation for medical expenses incurred as a result of this ordeal.

Represented by attorney Michelle C. Jenni from Wilcoxen Callaham LLP, the plaintiffs are requesting interest on all damages sought along with any additional relief deemed appropriate by the court.

This case will be heard under Case No.: Sot OPS oo in front of judges yet to be assigned.
