A major class action lawsuit has been filed against a prominent energy company, alleging systematic wage and hour violations affecting numerous employees across California. On November 18, 2025, Chanell Lewis and Chanee Denard, represented by Aegis Law Firm, PC, lodged a complaint in the Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara, against Bloom Energy Corporation. The plaintiffs claim that the corporation failed to comply with several labor laws, thereby engaging in unfair business practices.

The lawsuit accuses Bloom Energy Corporation of a range of violations under the California Labor Code and Industrial Welfare Commission Wage Orders. According to the complaint, the defendants systematically failed to pay minimum and overtime wages, did not provide lawful meal periods or rest breaks, neglected to reimburse necessary business expenses, and issued inaccurate wage statements. The plaintiffs argue that these actions were deliberate attempts by Bloom Energy to enhance profits at the expense of their employees’ rights. “Defendants have increased their profits by violating state wage and hour laws,” the complaint asserts.

Chanell Lewis and Chanee Denard are bringing this action on behalf of themselves and other similarly situated non-exempt employees who worked for Bloom Energy across California since May 6, 2018. They seek various forms of relief from the court including unpaid wages, unreimbursed expenses, benefits, interest, attorneys’ fees, costs and penalties as stipulated under multiple sections of the Labor Code such as §§ 201-204 and § 226. The plaintiffs also request injunctive relief under Business and Professions Code §§ 17200 et seq., aiming to halt ongoing unlawful practices by Bloom Energy.

The case is being handled by attorneys Samuel A. Wong, Kashif Haque, Jessica L. Campbell, and Alexander G.L. Davies from Aegis Law Firm based in Irvine, California. The case ID is 25CV480265 and it will be presided over in the Superior Court of California for Santa Clara County.
