Anna Carballo has taken legal action against her former employers, alleging significant labor violations that could impact numerous employees. On October 13, 2025, Anna Carballo filed a representative complaint in the Superior Court of California, County of Sacramento, against SVT Gruppe, Inc., Exclusive Motorworks Inc., and Brent Morgan. The lawsuit claims these entities violated various provisions of the California Labor Code under the Private Attorney General Act (PAGA).

Carballo’s complaint outlines a series of allegations against her former employers. She accuses them of systematically denying meal and rest breaks to their non-exempt employees, failing to pay for all hours worked including overtime, and providing inaccurate wage statements. According to the complaint, these practices were part of a uniform policy affecting at least 50 hourly employees at each company. Carballo worked for the defendants from June 2024 until April 2025 as an hourly employee and claims she was subjected to these unlawful practices during her employment.

The plaintiff asserts that Defendants SVT Gruppe and Exclusive Motorworks required employees to remain on duty during breaks or work through them entirely due to scheduling demands. This practice allegedly resulted in workers not receiving proper compensation for all hours worked, including overtime pay when applicable. Furthermore, Carballo claims that wage statements provided by the defendants were inaccurate as they did not reflect the actual hours worked or include necessary details such as gross wages earned and deductions.

Carballo is seeking civil penalties under PAGA on behalf of herself and other aggrieved employees for violations of multiple sections of the California Labor Code. These include failure to provide meal and rest periods (Labor Code §226.7), failure to pay minimum wage (Labor Code §§510 and 1198), and failure to furnish accurate wage statements (Labor Code §226). The penalties sought are intended not only as recompense but also as a deterrent against future violations by these companies.

In addition to civil penalties, Carballo seeks pre- and post-judgment interest, injunctive relief requiring compliance with labor laws moving forward, attorney’s fees, costs associated with bringing this action, and any other relief deemed appropriate by the court.

Representing Anna Carballo is Navid Barahmand from Barahmand Law Group based in Calabasas, California. The case has been filed under Case No. #4 Stow O 24030 in front of the Superior Court Judge in Sacramento County.
