In a class action lawsuit that could have significant implications for labor practices, Anthony Manrique has filed a complaint against several corporations alleging multiple violations of California’s labor laws. The complaint was lodged on November 12, 2025, in the Superior Court of the State of California for the County of Santa Clara against Corodata Corporation and its affiliates, as well as Aerotek, Inc.

Anthony Manrique, representing himself and other similarly situated employees, claims that the defendants failed to comply with numerous labor regulations. These include failure to pay overtime and minimum wages, not providing mandated meal and rest periods, and issuing inaccurate wage statements. Manrique alleges that he worked for these companies from March 2025 to August 2025 as a non-exempt employee tasked with transporting sensitive documents. He asserts that during his employment, he was often required to work beyond standard hours without appropriate compensation or breaks.

The lawsuit accuses Corodata Corporation and its subsidiaries—Corodata Media Storage, Corodata Records Management, and Corodata Shredding—alongside Aerotek of engaging in unfair competition by violating labor codes which gave them an advantage over compliant businesses. Specifically, the complaint highlights how employees were made to clock out for meal periods but continue working due to strict delivery schedules. Furthermore, it alleges manipulation of time records to underreport hours worked.

Manrique is seeking various forms of relief from the court including damages for unpaid wages (both regular and overtime), waiting time penalties for delayed payments upon termination or resignation, penalties for inaccurate wage statements, reimbursement for necessary expenses incurred while performing job duties (such as using personal cell phones), and restitution under California’s Unfair Competition Law. Additionally, the plaintiff requests injunctive relief prohibiting further violations by the defendants.

Represented by Molly DeSario from Bibiyan Law Group P.C., Anthony Manrique aims to secure justice not only for himself but also for other affected employees who may have been similarly wronged by these corporate practices. The case is presided over in Santa Clara County under Case ID 25CV479923.
