In a bold legal move, a former employee has launched a class action lawsuit against several corporations for alleged labor violations. Angel Amador filed the complaint on November 3, 2025, in the Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara, accusing GCA Services Group of California, Inc., GCA Services Group, Inc., ABM Industries Incorporated, and unnamed defendants of various labor law infringements.

The case brought forth by Angel Amador represents not only his grievances but also those of similarly situated employees who worked under similar conditions. The allegations are serious and multifaceted, claiming violations such as unpaid overtime (California Labor Code §§ 510 and 1198), unpaid meal and rest period premiums (California Labor Code §§ 226.7 and 512(a)), unpaid minimum wages (California Labor Code §§ 1194, 1197, and 1197.1), untimely payment of final wages (California Labor Code §§ 201 and 202), non-compliant wage statements (California Labor Code § 226(a)), failure to keep requisite payroll records (California Labor Code § 1174(d)), unreimbursed business expenses (California Labor Code §§ 2800 and 2802), among others. These claims suggest a systemic pattern of neglect towards employee rights within these organizations.

Amador alleges that the companies engaged in practices that deprived employees of their rightful earnings through willful neglect or oversight. He contends that these actions were part of a broader strategy to cut costs at the expense of workers’ legal entitlements. “Defendants intentionally and willfully failed to pay overtime wages owed,” Amador asserts in his filing. He further accuses the companies of maintaining corporate policies that denied hourly-paid or non-exempt employees proper compensation for all hours worked, including overtime.

The plaintiff seeks multiple forms of relief from the court: certification as a class action; appointment as class representative; general unpaid wages at overtime rates; premium wages for missed meal/rest periods; statutory penalties for non-compliance with wage statement regulations; reimbursement for business-related expenses; restitution under California Business & Professions Code §17200; and injunctive relief to prevent future violations. Moreover, Amador requests reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs incurred during litigation.

Representing Angel Amador is Arby Aiwazian from Lawyers for Justice, PC—a firm known for its advocacy in employment law cases. The case has been assigned Case No.: 25CV479293 in the Superior Court of California’s Santa Clara division.
