In a significant legal move, a class action lawsuit has been filed against a prominent California corporation for alleged labor violations affecting numerous employees. The complaint was lodged by Salvador Garibay Flores on October 14, 2025, in the Superior Court of California, County of Sacramento, targeting A. Teichert & Son, Inc., along with other unnamed defendants.

The lawsuit accuses A. Teichert & Son, Inc., a California-based company, of multiple breaches of the California Labor Code. Flores claims that during his employment from February 2018 to June 2025, he and other similarly situated employees were systematically denied rightful wages and benefits. According to the complaint, these violations include unpaid overtime as per sections 510 and 1198 of the Labor Code, failure to provide meal and rest period premiums under sections 226.7 and 512(a), and non-payment of minimum wages in violation of sections 1194, 1197, and 1197.1. The plaintiff also alleges that final wages were not paid timely upon termination as required by sections 201 and 202.

Flores further contends that A. Teichert & Son engaged in unfair business practices by not maintaining accurate payroll records or providing compliant wage statements as mandated by section 226(a). He asserts that these actions were part of a broader pattern aimed at increasing corporate profits at the expense of employee rights. “Defendants knew or should have known” about these statutory obligations but willfully ignored them to gain an unfair advantage over competitors.

The plaintiff seeks comprehensive relief from the court, including certification of the lawsuit as a class action to encompass all affected employees who worked for the defendants within four years preceding the filing date. The suit demands restitution for unpaid wages, statutory penalties for labor code violations, pre-judgment interest on unpaid amounts, and reimbursement for unreimbursed business expenses incurred by employees. Additionally, Flores requests injunctive relief to prevent future violations and ensure compliance with labor laws.

Representing Salvador Garibay Flores is Arby Aiwazian from Lawyers for Justice PC based in Glendale, California. The case awaits adjudication in front of a judge yet to be assigned under Case No.: [redacted].
