Rosa Quezada has filed a lawsuit against a major automobile manufacturer, alleging multiple breaches of warranty and violations of consumer protection laws. The complaint was filed on August 20, 2025, in the Superior Court of California, County of Ventura, by attorney Jonathan M. Rashtian from Gaslamp Law Group, PC, against Ford Motor Company.
The case revolves around Quezada’s purchase of a new 2021 Ford F150 vehicle that allegedly failed to meet the standards promised by Ford’s express and implied warranties. According to the complaint, the vehicle suffered from numerous defects that rendered it unsafe and unreliable for use. Quezada asserts that these issues were not due to any misuse or modifications on her part but were inherent defects present at the time of purchase. Despite several attempts to have the vehicle repaired under warranty, Quezada claims that Ford failed to adequately address these issues within a reasonable timeframe.
Quezada’s legal action includes three primary causes: breach of implied warranty, breach of express warranty, and violation of the Song Beverly Consumer Warranty Act. She argues that Ford breached its implied warranty by providing a vehicle that was not fit for its intended purpose or merchantable quality. Additionally, she accuses Ford of breaching its express warranty by failing to ensure the vehicle was safely designed and properly assembled as promised.
In her complaint, Quezada highlights how these breaches have resulted in significant inconvenience and financial loss. She seeks reimbursement for costs associated with financing and owning the defective vehicle, as well as expenses incurred from attempted repairs. Furthermore, she demands rescission of the purchase agreement and restitution damages. Under California’s Civil Code Sections 1793.2 and 1794, she also seeks attorney’s fees and civil penalties.
The lawsuit underscores allegations against Ford for not complying with consumer protection standards outlined in the Song Beverly Consumer Warranty Act. This act mandates manufacturers to either replace defective goods or reimburse consumers if they fail to repair products after reasonable attempts. Quezada contends that Ford’s inability to fix her vehicle despite numerous repair efforts constitutes a violation of this law.
Represented by Jonathan M. Rashtian from Gaslamp Law Group, PC., Rosa Quezada is seeking judgment for incidental and consequential damages along with other relief deemed appropriate by the court. The case is identified under Case No: 20275 CU PLO4Ag33o in Ventura County Superior Court.
