Berlin Thomas has filed a lawsuit against a major stadium management company, accusing them of numerous labor law violations. The complaint was lodged in the Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara, on October 23, 2025. Thomas alleges that the Forty Niners Stadium Management Company LLC has failed to adhere to several provisions of the California Labor Code, particularly those concerning wage and hour laws.

According to the court documents, Berlin Thomas, who has been employed by the defendants since 2014 as a Guest Services Representative, claims that both he and other similarly aggrieved employees were not compensated properly for their work. The lawsuit states that the defendants failed to pay minimum wages and overtime wages, did not provide adequate meal and rest breaks, neglected to offer proper sick leave, and did not maintain accurate payroll records. “Defendants’ conduct giving rise to these violations was malicious, fraudulent, and/or oppressive within the meaning of PAGA,” asserts the complaint.

The Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) allows employees like Thomas to file lawsuits on behalf of themselves and other aggrieved workers for labor code violations. The complaint highlights specific breaches including failure to pay all wages upon termination and failure to reimburse necessary business expenses. These actions allegedly contravene multiple sections of the California Labor Code such as sections 201-203 regarding timely payment upon discharge or resignation.

Thomas seeks civil penalties under PAGA along with injunctive relief and statutory attorneys’ fees. He argues that these penalties are necessary due to systematic practices by his employer that prioritize profit over legal compliance with labor standards. The complaint emphasizes how these practices resulted in financial harm not only to him but also to other hourly-paid employees who worked under similar conditions.

The case is being handled by Blackstone Law APC with attorneys Karen I. Gold, Marissa M. Mayhood, Noam Y. Reiffman, and Sara Pezeshkpour representing Berlin Thomas. The case ID is 25CV478357 and it will be presided over in the Superior Court of California for Santa Clara County.
