In a striking class action lawsuit, an employee has taken legal action against his former employer, alleging a series of labor law violations that have impacted numerous workers. On November 26, 2025, Timothy Dodson filed a complaint in the Superior Court of California, County of Sacramento, against FORGEN, LLC. The case highlights significant allegations concerning unpaid wages and improper labor practices.

Timothy Dodson’s complaint outlines a comprehensive list of grievances against FORGEN, LLC. The lawsuit claims that the company failed to pay minimum wages and overtime compensation as required by California Labor Code sections 1194, 1197, and 1197.1. Furthermore, Dodson accuses the company of not providing adequate meal and rest breaks in violation of sections 226.7 and 512(a). According to the complaint, “Defendants had a policy and practice of failing to pay Plaintiff and the other Class Members for all on-call/standby hours worked,” which is a clear breach of state labor laws. Dodson also asserts that FORGEN did not reimburse necessary business expenses or provide accurate wage statements to its employees.

The lawsuit seeks several forms of relief from the court. Among these are demands for unpaid wages at overtime rates, statutory penalties for untimely payment upon termination under Labor Code section 203, and reimbursement for business-related expenses as stipulated by sections 2800 and 2802. Additionally, Dodson requests that the court certify this action as a class action so that similarly affected employees can join in seeking justice against FORGEN’s alleged unfair practices.

The legal representation for Timothy Dodson is provided by Blackstone Law APC with attorneys Barbara DuVan-Clarke, Danielle L. GruppChang, P.J. Van Ert, and Melissa Rodriguez leading the charge on behalf of the plaintiff. The case is presided over by Judge N/A under Case No.) Sarto @oe ao.
