A North Hollywood man was sentenced to 199 months in federal prison for his involvement in a series of armed robberies that targeted businesses across Los Angeles and Orange counties during a two-week period in early 2024.
Antonio Lamar Bland, 36, received the sentence from United States District Judge John A. Kronstadt, who also ordered him to pay $17,829 in restitution. Bland has been held in federal custody since May 2024 and pleaded guilty in November 2025 to one count of interference with commerce by robbery under the Hobbs Act and one count of brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence.
Between January 29 and February 14, 2024, Bland worked with co-defendants Ronnie Tucker, 24, of Long Beach, and Abigail Luckey, 50, also from North Hollywood. Together they robbed a total of twelve businesses: one smoke shop in Tustin, nine different 7-Eleven locations throughout North Hollywood, Burbank, Torrance, Van Nuys, Long Beach, Glendale and Pasadena, as well as two donut shops in Los Angeles and Downey.
According to court documents, most robberies took place late at night. Bland and Tucker would enter the stores wearing hooded sweatshirts and face masks while Luckey waited outside as the getaway driver. The group used a white four-door sedan owned by Luckey to flee after each robbery.
During their crime spree on February 6, Bland and Luckey traveled to Las Vegas where they were legally married before returning to Southern California for another robbery on February 8.
The robberies ended after an attempted robbery at a Downey donut shop on February 14. During this incident, a store employee fired a handgun in self-defense. The shot hit a wall but prompted Bland and Tucker to flee. Law enforcement witnessed the attempted robbery and stopped the suspects’ car shortly afterward. Officers recovered a firearm from the vehicle.
Prosecutors wrote in their sentencing memorandum: “[Bland] did it for the money; he did it for greed… Afterward, [Bland] bragged about his crimes, labeling a picture of himself ‘#RobberyGang.’”
Tucker and Luckey have both pleaded guilty to felony charges related to these events and are awaiting sentencing while remaining in federal custody.
The investigation was led by the FBI along with assistance from police departments across Tustin, Torrance, Long Beach, Glendale, Pasadena, Los Angeles and Downey as well as the Burbank Police Department.
Assistant United States Attorney Diane B. Roldán is prosecuting the case out of the Major Crimes Section.
