A former employee has filed a class action lawsuit against a California-based business, alleging numerous violations of labor laws. On August 26, 2025, Rafael Navarro filed the complaint in the Superior Court of California, County of Ventura, against Oxnard Manor, LP. The lawsuit accuses the company of failing to pay minimum and overtime wages, not providing meal and rest breaks, and other labor law violations.

The complaint details several grievances that Navarro claims are representative of many current and former employees. According to Navarro’s allegations, Oxnard Manor systematically failed to compensate employees for all hours worked, including both regular and overtime hours. Employees were reportedly required to work “off the clock” without compensation for tasks such as waiting in line to clock in or out and undergoing temperature checks before starting their shifts. Additionally, Navarro asserts that meal breaks were often interrupted or not provided at all.

Navarro further alleges that Oxnard Manor did not reimburse employees for necessary business expenses like personal cell phone use or required uniforms. Moreover, upon termination, the company allegedly failed to pay all due wages promptly as mandated by California law. The lawsuit also highlights inaccuracies in wage statements provided by the employer, which purportedly led employees to believe they had been paid correctly when they had not.

The legal action seeks various forms of relief from the court. Navarro is asking for unpaid wages with interest, liquidated damages for minimum wage violations, statutory penalties for inaccurate wage statements, and reimbursement for business expenses. The plaintiff also demands injunctive relief to prevent future violations and ensure compliance with labor laws.

Representing Rafael Navarro are attorneys Kane Moon, Allen Feghali, and Hyunjin Kim from Moon Law Group PC. The case is presided over by Judge EK Bieker under Case No.: 2025CUOE049R80.
