A California woman has filed a lawsuit against a prominent automotive group, alleging severe misconduct by one of its employees. The complaint was lodged by Mackenzie Warden in the Superior Court of California, County of Ventura, on September 19, 2025, naming Shaver Automotive Group, Inc. as the defendant.

The case revolves around an incident that occurred on February 25, 2025, when Warden and her fiancé were purchasing a vehicle from Shaver Automotive Group. During the transaction process, they met with Daniel, the finance manager at Shaver. According to the complaint, Daniel made inappropriate sexual advances towards Warden after learning about her additional income source from OnlyFans. He allegedly suggested that he could offer better deals in exchange for personal content and later requested nude photos from Warden via text message. This conduct forms the basis of several accusations against Shaver Automotive Group under California’s Unruh Act [Civil Code §51.9], which prohibits sexual harassment within business relationships.

Warden’s complaint outlines multiple causes of action against Shaver Automotive Group and its employee: sexual harassment in violation of the Unruh Act, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligent infliction of emotional distress, and negligent hiring, retention, and training. She claims that Daniel’s actions were not only inappropriate but also constituted a malicious abuse of his position intended to cause her severe emotional distress.

The plaintiff is seeking various forms of relief from the court. These include actual and general damages for the alleged violations under Civil Code §52(b), punitive damages to punish and set an example for others involved in similar misconducts under Civil Code §3294, attorney’s fees and costs incurred during litigation as per Civil Code §52(b)(3), as well as compensation for medical expenses and loss of income due to emotional distress caused by the incident.

Representing Mackenzie Warden are attorneys Kevin C. Boyle and Jennifer L. Levy from the Law Offices of Kevin C. Boyle based in Calabasas, California. The case is being heard in front of Judge I. Bieker at the Ventura Superior Court with Case ID #2025CUBT051180.
