Court of Appeal extends deadline for mediation program applications

The Court of Appeal, Third Appellate District, has announced an extension for the application deadline to join its 2026 mediator training program. The court is seeking attorneys and retired judges from the 23 counties it serves to apply for a position on its mediator panel.

The appellate mediator training course will be limited to 24 participants and is offered free of charge. Training sessions are scheduled to take place at the Judicial Council of California’s offices in Sacramento.

According to the court, “Attorneys and retired judges throughout the 23 counties served by the Third District Court of Appeal are encouraged to apply.” Applications can be submitted until March 20, 2026, through the Court’s Mediation Program page.
