Timothy Demetrius Jeffrey, known as “Boo,” has been sentenced to 92 months in federal prison for unlawful firearm possession. The 44-year-old from Antioch, California, was convicted by a federal jury on March 12, 2025, on two counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition. Senior U.S. District Judge William H. Alsup issued the sentence and also imposed concurrent 24-month terms for violations related to his supervised release in two other cases.

Court documents reveal that on April 25, 2023, Jeffrey attempted to evade law enforcement in Pittsburg, California. During the pursuit, he discarded a Glock 9mm semi-automatic pistol with an extended magazine containing 19 rounds over a fence before being apprehended.

After initially posting bond following his arrest, Jeffrey fled but was later found at a relative’s home in Antioch on March 27, 2024. A search warrant executed by the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office led to the discovery of an Aero Precision AR-style rifle with a magazine and ammunition under a couch at the residence. Text messages on Jeffrey’s cell phone indicated attempts to sell this weapon.

Jeffrey’s criminal history includes previous convictions for firearm possession by a felon, escape from custody, and drug-related offenses. Enhancements were applied under U.S. Sentencing Guidelines due to perjury during trial testimony and possession of stolen firearms.

The case was announced by United States Attorney Craig H. Missakian and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms (ATF) Acting Special Agent Alex Buenaventura as part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN). This program aims to reduce violent crime through collaborative efforts between law enforcement agencies and community organizations.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Aseem Padukone prosecuted the case with support from Claudia Hyslop, Nina Burney, and Yenni Weinberg. The investigation involved multiple agencies including ATF, United States Marshals Service, Pittsburg Police Department, and Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office.
