In a significant legal move, a former employee has launched a class-action lawsuit against a major restaurant chain, alleging widespread violations of labor laws. On November 17, 2025, Paige Gray filed the complaint in the Superior Court of California, County of Sacramento, targeting Chipotle Services, LLC. The case brings to light numerous grievances related to wage and hour violations that could affect many current and former employees.

The lawsuit filed by Paige Gray accuses Chipotle Services, LLC of failing to comply with several provisions of the California Labor Code. According to the complaint, Gray and others similarly situated were not paid for all hours worked at minimum wage or overtime rates as required by law. The allegations include failure to authorize or permit meal and rest periods, failure to indemnify employees for work-related expenses, and failure to provide legally compliant lactation breaks. Gray claims that these practices are in direct violation of multiple sections of the California Labor Code including Sections 1194, 1197, 510, 512, 226.7 among others. The complaint further alleges that Chipotle’s actions constitute unfair business practices under Business and Professions Code Sections 17200 et seq.

Gray is seeking restitution for unpaid wages along with interest thereon for herself and other affected employees. Additionally, she demands statutory penalties for inaccurate wage statements and untimely payment of final wages upon separation from employment. The lawsuit also seeks injunctive relief to prevent future violations by Chipotle Services and requests reasonable attorneys’ fees as well as costs incurred during litigation.

Representing Paige Gray are attorneys Joseph Lavi, Vincent C. Granberry, Jeffrey D. Klein, Margaux K. Gudnzik from Lavi & Ebrahimian LLP based in Beverly Hills; Sahag Majarian and Garen Mayarian from Majarian Law Group APC located in Tarzana. The case is presided over by Judge V. Bloxson under Case No.: 2S WORPraSs.
